Power Station Test 2026: Warentest Is From 2023

Search for a power station test this summer and Stiftung Warentest comes up almost every time. The page looks current, mentioning January's Berlin blackout, but nothing on it has been measured in three years.
One distinction up front: this covers power stations, not power banks. Warentest did run a new power bank test in 2026, 24 units checked for safety, all passed. The power bank test winner is a different page.
What the Warentest page says
Eleven power stations, five rated "gut" (good): the free, readable core of the test Stiftung Warentest published on 20 July 2023. No winner named; the rest sits behind the paywall.
On 7 January 2026 a sentence referencing the Berlin blackout was added: no new unit, no new measurement, just a new hook.
Not a coincidence: the arson attack on Berlin's power grid on 3 January 2026 cut power to roughly 45,000 households, restored on 7 January, the exact day Warentest touched the page (more on the blackout).

ADAC tested eight portable power stations, dated 11 June 2025. Two failed at grade 5.0: Ective BlackBox 10 and Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, whose DC inputs, per ADAC, aren't decoupled: charging solar and a car socket at once can cross voltage. The power station test winner: Bluetti AC180P, grade 2.0, an ADAC finding, not a verdict on the manufacturers (brand comparison).
heise online takes a different approach: a rolling ranking from 60+ tests, updated 30 December 2025, no fixed test date.
Power stations in 2026: what you can actually buy
The four units below are the current generation, all LiFePO4, and none was tested by Warentest, ADAC or heise. Every Wh/W figure is a manufacturer spec; ADAC measured 10 to 15 percent less usable energy than nameplate promises, across its own units (11 June 2025). Factor that in (sizing guide).
Around 1 kWh, the class ADAC covered
ADAC's field ran from 768 to 1,440 Wh. The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 sits there: 1,024 Wh and 2000 W per the manufacturer, about €594 on Amazon.de on 5 August 2026.

Same class, different brand
The BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 claims 1,024 Wh LFP and 1800 W. Bluetti is the brand whose AC180P took first place in ADAC's 2025 test, grade 2.0, but a different model: that grade doesn't carry over here.

Around 2 kWh, outside all three tests
Above 1,440 Wh, ADAC's field stops. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 claims 2,048 Wh and 2400 W, about €1,000 on Amazon.de on 5 August 2026.

The FOSSiBOT F2400 quotes the same 2,048 Wh and 2400 W and ships with a 200 W panel. Fossibot appears in heise's 30 December 2025 list; this model doesn't.

Conclusion
A modification date is not a power station test. For what was actually measured, read ADAC (June 2025) and heise's list (December 2025). Warentest remains a test from July 2023.
