MagSafe Power Bank: Which iPhone Really Charges at 25 Watts?

Almost every MagSafe power bank listing prints the number 25 watts somewhere. It is a real number. It just belongs to the puck on the wall socket, not to the battery, and even there plenty of iPhones never reach it.

The iPhone 16 Pro stops at 22.5 watts, while the 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max reach 25 watts. The pricier phone is not the faster one.
Three things must line up, not two: the model, a 30 W or greater adapter, and a puck with part number A3502, A3503, A2580 or A3250. The older A2140 caps at 15 watts whatever phone sits on it.
A battery pack never gets there
Apple's current MagSafe Battery for iPhone Air is rated for "up to 12W" on the go. The discontinued MagSafe Battery Pack managed 15 watts, only while plugged in itself. No Apple battery has come close to 25 watts.
Anker's MagGo with 10,000 mAh puts Qi2 15W in its own product name, exactly what Qi2 allows.

Qi2 is not Qi2 25W
The Wireless Power Consortium says it plainly: Qi2 brought 15 watts. The 25 watts live in Qi v2.2.1, branded Qi2 25W, launched July 2025.
So a device labelled plain "Qi2" delivers 15 watts. Anker's Nano with 5,000 mAh carries the same label, smaller shell.

What to check instead
Capacity beats watts here. How many charges you get is a watt-hour question, never an mAh one: how to convert mAh to Wh.
MagSafe is also not USB-C Power Delivery, whose 100 watts run over a cable: power banks for laptops.
UGREEN lists 7.5 watts for the Zapix, TORRAS 18 watts for the MiniMag. Manufacturer figures, not independent measurements.

Does a MagSafe power bank charge at 25 watts?
No. Apple Support rates the current MagSafe Battery for iPhone Air at up to 12 watts on the go, and the older Battery Pack at 15 watts, only while plugged in. The 25 watt figure describes wall chargers, not battery packs.
What separates Qi2 from Qi2 25W?
Qi2 means 15 watts, per the Wireless Power Consortium. Qi2 25W is the marketing name for Qi v2.2.1, launched July 2025. A power bank labelled only Qi2 delivers 15 watts.
